Sire Dam Wadi Farm Firefly

L-R: Gunnadorrah Tom Thumb (Sire), Wongawol Darrah (Dam)

Firefly is a lovely, gentle mare who has a wonderful trainable temperament and a willingness to please. Along with her sturdy conformation, Firefly is one of only a handful of true black silvers in Western Australia and she has some interesting bloodlines: both parents were rescued from herds in outback stations in WA and she has heritage bloodlines from very well bred and hardy old type horses and ponies. Firefly is registered with Dilutes Australia.

She was lightly started under saddle at 3.5 years, before going in foal to Powderbark Cavanagh (Connemara)- she produced a beautiful black silver filly who is being retained by the stud.

Firefly is being brought back into work under saddle, and has been professionally “reintroduced” to ridden work by our pony breaker. She is willing and gentle to handle both on the ground and whilst being ridden. She has lovely paces and the basics have been established, and she is now ready for her next career under saddle!   Firefly is being sold only because we have to cut down our broodmare herd, we have no rider for her and we are retaining her foal (being a partbred Connemara). Firefly has excellent potential as a riding pony, a harness pony and as a broodmare.
